Old Dutch Work 'Orcon' Klettervest Jacket

The Klettervest is a lesser-known piece of Dutch and German workwear history. Popular from the 1930s to 1950s across the Netherlands, Belgium and parts of Germany, these garments were made from heavy Manchester corduroy.

This durable fabric, inspired by British mills, was valued for warmth, strength and its resistance to dirt. Widely worn by workers — from coal laborers to postal workers — it reflects everyday utility and function of the era.
