Heavy grained leather lace-up boots dating to the interwar period, built in a narrow, structured shape characteristic of early twentieth-century European footwear. Thick leather soles are reinforced with metal hobnails, while the folding metal 'Ice Cleats' appear to be an old later modification, possibly added by the original owner.

The black leather has dried and cracked heavily with age, developing a dense, beautifully worn surface while retaining its strong original form.

Narrow through the foot and best suited for slender feet with a low instep.
