Early 20th Century English evening tailcoat by Adamsons Ltd., a historic outfitter known for supplying students and university clubs at Oxford and Cambridge. The handwritten date on the original label is difficult to decipher, but the construction and detailing suggest the first half of the 20th century.

Cut from exceptional black wool with silk-faced lapels, fabric-covered buttons and long sculptural tails. Its severe formal structure carries an almost gothic, avant-garde silhouette.

Externally, the condition remains good for its age, with a hole on the back shoulder and occasional pulls throughout. The interior lining is torn around the pocket. These traces of wear remain part of its genuine century-old character.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition; there may be minor defects (used clothing).
