1960s Soviet Aviation 'КМ-15И' Oxygen Mask

1969 Soviet KM-15I aviation oxygen mask, developed for supplying pilots with oxygen during flight at altitude. Its perforated rubber shell, mechanical fittings and compact breathing system carry an almost Art Deco industrial severity — somewhere between Cold War aviation equipment and an object from a post-apocalyptic machine age.

The mask survives in heavily aged condition: the rubber has deteriorated, the harness is torn, and the original breathing bag is extensively split and fragile. No longer preserved as functional equipment, it remains a striking piece of late-Soviet aeronautical design — raw, mechanical and beautifully obsolete.
