1970s Soviet Union 'Sport' Hockey Skates

1970s Soviet hockey skates “Спорт” in burgundy and white leather — a striking example of late Soviet sportswear design with a strong geometric silhouette and almost Art Deco-like contrast detailing. The tall leather construction and sharp lines feel closer to early racing or boxing footwear than modern athletic equipment, giving the pair a distinctly sculptural archive presence.

The skates show honest age throughout: scattered scuffs, scratches, small stains, and handwritten marker inscriptions inside the lining. The leather remains structured and visually strong, while the bold “Спорт” branding and thick cotton laces preserve their original character beautifully.

Please note: the original skate blade hardware is missing, leaving only the leather boot construction itself.
