1970s Soviet Army 'Shinel' Greatcoat

A heavy wool Soviet shinel, made in the 1970s to the 1969 pattern. Long, rigid and severe in construction, with dense brown-grey wool, metal star buttons and red insignia — a classic cold-weather military silhouette of the late Soviet period.

The coat is well worn, with small holes and abrasions on the sleeves and around the shoulders, along with scattered surface wear from age. The wool remains heavy and substantial, keeping that dry, austere structure these coats are known for.

A dark archival military piece — long cut, dense wool, metal hardware and visible traces of decades of wear.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition; there may be minor defects (used clothing).
