1970s Soviet Pilot 'Shevretka' Leather Jacket

A Soviet VVS leather flight jacket, built as hard functional aviation clothing rather than fashion — heavy dark leather, broad collar, angled zip pockets and a warm brown interior. Jackets of this type were made for military aviation use, and this one has aged into something far more severe than its original uniform purpose.

The surface is dry, heavily abraded and scarred, with worn-through areas, cracking, peeling finish and reddish undertones breaking through the dark leather. The interior shows equally hard use, with stains, wear and damage around the lining and attachment points. Nothing about it feels restored or softened — it has the raw look of a piece that survived decades of storage, movement and neglect.

Part aviation relic, part post-apocalyptic armor — a brutal, naturally distressed jacket with exactly the kind of irregular patina that cannot really be recreated.
