A pair of ≈1960s Soviet leather military boots, preserved in a state shaped by decades of wear and neglect. Once black, the leather has faded into an uneven near-brown tone, marked by dirt, abrasions, deep folds and hardened creases.

The leather has become extremely dry and rigid — almost wooden — giving the boots a stark, sculptural silhouette. They are best considered an archival display piece, interior object or styling prop rather than wearable footwear.
