1960s Mongolian 'WICO' Zip Leather Jacket

This jacket came to us without a readable label, but after some research we found an almost identical example carrying a “Made in Mongolia” tag — likely dating somewhere around the 1960s.

Pieces like this were probably produced in small numbers for practical everyday use and, in some cases, export across the Eastern Bloc. The construction reflects that world clearly: soft black leather, clean utilitarian lines and original WICO zipper hardware commonly seen on Eastern European garments from the era.

The leather has developed a beautiful natural сolor over decades of wear, while the cropped silhouette and oversized collar give it an almost contemporary archive aesthetic. The jacket shows authentic signs of age throughout — including light scuffs and small abrasions, especially across the back and sleeves, along with occasional point stains that only add to its worn character.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition; there may be minor defects (used clothing).
