1960s East German Strichtarn Camo Canteen

$44.00

A small fragment of Cold War field equipment, stripped of its original function and aged into something closer to an industrial object. The muted Strichtarn fabric has developed a beautiful washed-out fade, with grime, abrasions and softened edges breaking up the original pattern.

The metal snaps are darkened and rusted, the strap is worn and scarred, and the whole surface carries an uneven, almost painterly patina.
