A mid-century Soviet quilted liner, transformed into a sleeveless vest through years of wear, repair and necessity. Its heavy cotton shell is crossed by rigid vertical stitching, exposed wadding and contrasting patches applied by hand—each layer belonging to a different moment in its working life.

The surface has been carefully cleaned, while deeply embedded stains, faded areas and traces of industrial dirt remain within the fabric. Frayed edges, worn armholes, scattered holes and numerous old repairs give the vest its raw, reconstructed form.

A dark utilitarian relic.
