1950s Soviet 'Telogreika' Thrashed Jacket

Regular price $550.00

Dating approximately to the mid-20th-century Soviet industrial era, this quilted jacket belongs to a world of factory yards, unheated workshops and long winters beneath concrete skies. Dense quilted cotton has faded into uneven charcoal tones, its surface shaped by ingrained marks, heavy abrasion and decades of physical use.

Numerous holes expose the pale wadding beneath, while crude hand-stitched repairs, torn edges and worn quilting form an almost abstract pattern across the body. None of the original buttons remain, leaving the front open and the silhouette raw and unfinished.

The jacket has been carefully washed and cleaned, with its deeply embedded discolouration and historical wear deliberately left visible. Its structure remains surprisingly substantial, though the piece should be considered a fragile archival garment and handled with appropriate care.

SIZE ≈M-L
The model is ≈178 cm tall and weighs ≈70 kg
