1930s Soviet 'Stakhanovka' Miner's Helmet

Circa 1930s Soviet miner’s helmet known as the Stakhanovka, or “Turtle”, for its low, layered shell. Formed from moulded fibre—a pressed paper and cardboard composite—with the overlapping sections bound by metal wire. Severe age and use remain across the surface: glossy abrasion, dark staining and areas where the black finish has worn through to the brown fibre beneath.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition; there may be minor defects (used clothing).
