1930s Dutch Bespoke Striped Trousers

These late 1930s trousers were tailored in Groningen, Netherlands by Bruce & Co., with the original 1939 dated label still preserved inside. A true pre-war European tailoring piece, made individually for a private client rather than mass production.

Constructed from a lightweight striped wool fabric with a subtle glossy sheen, the trousers have a fluid drape and elegant high-waisted silhouette typical of the era. The suspender button construction, wide leg shape and refined interior finishing reflect classic Dutch and Northern European tailoring before WWII.

The condition is remarkable for nearly 90 years old — the fabric remains crisp with deep contrast and beautiful texture throughout. Inside lining shows slight yellowing from age.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition, there may be minor defects (used clothing).
