1930s European 'Croatian' Bespoke Suit Trousers

Tailored trousers dated 1937, produced in Bale, Istria. Finished with Beck & Co. buttons, suspender buttons, and side adjusters, they reflect the refined construction and balanced proportions typical of European menswear in the interwar period.

Interestingly, we also hold another surviving pair from the same town in our archive — dated 1905 and tailored by Victor Settelen. Together, these two garments trace more than three decades of tailoring evolution within a single place.
