A late Victorian fitted bodice cut in deep bottle-green velvet, shaped through the waist with internal boning and finished with narrow ornamental braid along the shoulders and cuffs. The high sculptural collar opens around the neckline through concealed fastenings, while the small front buttons remain purely decorative — giving the piece an unusually severe, almost ecclesiastical Gothic presence.

Remarkably well preserved for its age, with the velvet retaining a rich depth and soft irregular sheen. Expected traces of age remain, including staining and wear to the original interior lining.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition; there may be minor defects (used clothing).
