1880s Victorian Velvet Soutache Bodice

$1.00

Victorian-era velvet jacket in a deep dark blue-green shade, almost black until the light catches the surface.

Short, sculptural cut with soutache trim, red collar detail and ornate metal buttons down the front. All buttons are present; a few appear to have been replaced over time, adding to the layered history of the piece rather than taking away from it.

Good wearable condition for its age. The velvet has a noble worn surface with small marks, light soiling and natural rubbing throughout. The inner lining shows age and is slightly torn in places.

Please do not expect the garment to be new or in perfect condition; there may be minor defects (used clothing).
